Acorn Industrial Component's policy is to provide and maintain working conditions which prevent injury or ill health, and offer opportunities for improvement in the way we operate and manage our health and safety system.

— To continually assess and identify hazards and implement the necessary actions to meet our legal obligations and those which may be required where our customer, sub-contractors or other organisations are concerned.

— To identify and implement emergency procedures in the case of fire or other significant incidents.

— To provide and maintain safe and health working conditions, plant & equipment, including the safe storage and use of substances.

— To provide such information, training and supervision employees need to carry out their tasks competently to prevent injury or work-related ill health.

— To allocate duties and responsibilities for safety matters and defining the structure for the implementation this policy, making them available to all employees through the Company Manuals and to other parties, via our web site.

— To consult with employees and encourage them to take an active interest in matters which affect their own health, safety and welfare, and that of their colleagues. We recognise the need to address changes in modern health issues such as work-related stress.

We also accept our responsibility for the health and safety of people who may be affected by our activities, similarly for those employees working on customer’s premises.

The policy will be kept up to date as the business changes in nature and size. To ensure this, the policy and the way in which it has operated will be reviewed annually.
