Acorn Industrial Components are committed to minimising the risk and effects of modern slavery, ethical & human rights violations across our organisation and supply chain.

We pride ourselves on our sustainability and ethics, so although not legally required to provide a Modern Slavery statement, we wanted to address this issue and are working to provide adequate information.

2019 Statement on Slavery and Human Trafficking

In accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, this statement sets out the steps that our company has taken, and continues to take, to identify, monitor and remediate any issues within our business and global supply chain relating to slavery and trafficking.

Acorn Industrial Components are a leading supplier of supply chain logistics and procurement services.

We understand and have a heightened awareness that slavery and trafficking exists, and the eradication of slavery and trafficking is a live and ongoing issue requiring constant vigilance.

We aim to: 1: work in a co-operative and supportive manner with partners in our supply chain to assist, educate and train where possible; and 2: endeavour to identify potential areas of concern, addressing and resolving any issues related to this area in the best interests of the workers affected.

We recognise company environment changes is necessary in this area, and are implementing changes to create more knowledge and understanding, and include awareness and acknowledgement of these issues across the business, and in our employee training and development programmes.

We will look at our procurement process to ensure new suppliers subscribe to, and acknowledge, the commitments to the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

We are voluntarily updating relevant company policies and procedures, publishing an annual statement of our commitment in accord with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, making this publicly available on our website, and reference this with respect to supplier and client agreements.

We are committed to creating a firm foundation and policies relating to this and surrounding issues, and our 2019 activity in this area is about establishing this strong base.
